We believe that the Bible is the Word of God consisting of sixty-six books in the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it is fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and is the true word of God.
We believe that there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each person of the Trinity possesses equally all the attributes of deity.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He is one-hundred percent God and one-hundred percent human. He lived a sinless life and volunteered himself to atone for the sins of humankind by dying on the cross as their substitute; by doing so He satisfied divine justice and accomplished salvation for all who trust in Him alone. Three days after his death, He was raised in the same body, glorified and imperishable.
We believe that the Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to men. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to them, continually indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth, and seals them until the day of redemption.
We believe that man was created in the image of God. However, he sinned by disobeying God’s prescribed commandment; by doing so, he separated himself from his Creator. Because of that disobedience, the curse of God has come upon all humanity and man’s nature is corrupted and unable to please God.
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God offered to all humanity by grace and received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The salvation of man is wholly a work of God’s free grace and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human. God in his grace imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Jesus alone for their salvation and justifies them in His sight.
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, which is a group of people who are saved in the name of Jesus Christ by putting their faith in his saving work on the cross. The local church is the visible representation of Christ’s global Church.
We believe in the eternal hope of heaven for believers. The believers will be with Christ for eternity to worship and enjoy His presence. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved will be raised to celebrate everlasting life with God and the lost will be raised for everlasting separation from God.
We believe that the orthodox Christian faith is the only spiritual truth and that truth is absolute and exclusive. We reject spiritual pluralism and the notion that truth is relative to the individual. We believe that faiths and religious systems that do not conform to orthodox creeds (such as the Nicene Creed and the Apostles’ Creed) and the articles in our Statement of Faith are heretical and counted among the “other gospels” that the Apostle Paul warns about in Gal 1:6-9. We make this statement in a spirit of humility and love, not out of arrogance or combativeness, as we simply seek to honor the authority and singularity of Scripture.
We believe that marriage was created, defined, and instituted by God as the joining of one man and one woman, based on authoritative Scriptures such as Genesis 2:24-25, Matthew 19:4-6, 1 Corinthians 7:2, and 1 Timothy 3:2, 12. We believe that any change in the divine definition of marriage is unbiblical and ungodly, and that new definitions of marriage go against God’s sovereign will and design for human relationships, families, and society at large.
