Vision Statement

Vision Road Sign with dramatic blue sky and clouds.

Our vision at KCCEM is to be a training center that sends out strong, mature, and passionate disciples of Christ all over the world. We want KCCEM to be like Gideon’s army of three hundred dedicated soldiers who fight the good fight of righteousness and overcome (Judges 7; 1 Tim. 6:12), regardless of physical numbers. We want to be a unified, indivisible army of God that fights on our knees in prayer and destroys the work of the enemy with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Eph. 6:17).

We envision our church community as a place where people can come to learn and be equipped through worship, prayer, joyful service, and Bible study. We see people being inspired and thriving through powerful, Spirit-filled worship services and cell group meetings. We see our leaders being humble enough to know they are unworthy servants, yet bold enough to lead by example, living by faith with zeal for God. We see members of our church loving each other as brothers and sisters in Christ, submitting to one another, and laying their lives down for each other. We see people serving the church together as a continual and pleasing sacrifice of worship to God. We see mentorship and discipleship happening naturally everywhere in our community, brothers teaching brothers, sisters teaching sisters, college students mentoring children and youth, and pastors and elders training and equipping the whole body.

We also envision being a church that Jesus would recognize as a house of prayer (Matt. 21:13), a church that intercedes for our families, friends, community, and our city. We hope to be a light for the gospel in Columbus, Ohio to people of all ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. We dream of being a church that practices real Christianity (James 1:27). We want to minister in a direct way to the poor, the homeless, widows, orphans, foreigners, refugees, those in prison, those who are enslaved or in bondage, and those who are sick. We envision all of our members being a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), discovering their calling in Christ and using their gifts and talents in ministry, leading to great spiritual fruit. We aim to be the kind of church that does what Jesus did, that carries out and continues His earthly ministry through our own mouths, hands, and feet.
