Isaac was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, where he studied music and served as a worship leader. After graduating with a Masters in Music Performance from the University of Toronto, he moved to Seoul, Korea to teach English and to continue worship ministry. He enrolled in Torch Trinity Graduate University in Seoul and earned an M.Div degree with a focus in Church Leadership. He served as an Associate Pastor in Seoul for a number of years before moving to Chicago, Illinois to attend Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. There, he completed a Th.M degree in Systematic Theology and Philosophy of Religion.
In addition to playing music and song writing, Isaac enjoys writing articles and sermons on various topics, fiction and non-fiction. He has recorded several songs, some with his wife Hannah. His MBTI profile is ISTJ. He considers himself to be a true nerd, being a fan of science fiction and fantasy, and completely lacking in any athletic abilities whatsoever.
Hannah was born in Seoul, Korea but moved to Wheaton, Illinois when she was 9. She grew up in the Chicagoland area and went back and forth between the US and Korea during her college years. She studied Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and worked as a radio news anchor in Seoul. Hannah is a gifted singer and passionate worship leader. She is an ENFP (the complete opposite of Isaac!) and is a real people-person.
Isaac and Hannah met when they served on the same worship team in Korea and married in 2010. They share a love for ministry, for music, and for Asian food.
Hannah was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Wheaton, Illinois. She studied Communication Arts at The University of Wisconsin-Madison and served as a worship leader in Korea for a number of years. Hannah loves music and singing and has a passion for life, for people, and for food! But most of all, Hannah’s greatest love is God and leading others in His worship.
Sam was born and raised in Central Ohio. He’s a husband and dad of two with another on the way. Been at KCC all his life and loves his church family. Loves a good story, too.
Josh is KCC OG (has been attending even before he was born). He went through many common struggles that Asian males go through in terms of generation gap and identity. Josh is currently doing a Master’s Thesis on Human Nutrition. He is open to what God has planned for his future and is always praying and seeking for more humbleness and faithfulness in God.
Rebekah was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and considers KCC her 2nd home. She has served on various teams including Sunday School, praise, hospitality, evangelism, and prayer as well as short term mission teams through KCC, CTCI and YWAM to Mexico, Peru, Dominican Republic, Turkey, and Israel. She’s currently in pharmacy school, and enjoys singing and playing guitar, reading, and baking.
Ruth has been attending KCC since first grade, and her love for God has been shaped significantly through the ministries of this church. She is now working as a speech-language pathologist at Dayton Children’s Hospital and volunteers with international students and refugees from various different nations.
Jay has been attending KCC since as long as he can remember and was born and raised here in Columbus. Jay is currently a fourth year pre-med student at the Ohio State University majoring in biochemistry and minoring in religious studies.
Debbie has been a member of KCC since forever. She’s a Columbus native and graduated from OSU with a sociology degree. She later graduated from Capital Law and is currently practicing immigration law as a solo practitioner. She has a heart for praying for people so come say hello.
