At KCC EM, we believe that Life Groups are a vital part of Christian community. We model our Life Groups after the early church in Acts 2:42-47, where the first believers devoted themselves to the study of God’s Word, fellowship, prayer, and the breaking of bread. We also see that they both went to the temple together (large gatherings) and spent time worshiping in each others’ homes (small groups).
We were created for community, just as God is a divine Triune community within Himself (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). God said that it is not good for a person to be alone (Gen. 2:18).
Each Life Group emphasizes the values of worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. We endeavor to make our Life Group open and inviting places where people are safe, loved, and accepted. It’s a primary source of healing, spiritual growth, prayer support, and accountability. We highly emphasize the importance of cell groups in maintaining spiritual health.
